Brooklyn's Birthday Pictures

Last Friday two of my very good friends celebrated their birthdays! I won't reveal how old they turned, but it really doesn't matter...both lovely ladies have many many years ahead of them before they'll have to bust out the "anti-wrinkle" cream. I've been talking about that great little restaurant, "Rice Paper", to everyone! It's great food, not too expensive and very vegetarian friendly.....mmmm now I'm hungry.

International experts have backed the use of male circumcision in the prevention of HIV

The World Health Organization and UNAIDS said circumcision should be added to current interventions to reduce the spread of HIV. Modelling studies have shown that if male circumcision was more widely available, millions of lives, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa would be saved. Specific cells in the foreskin may be potential targets for HIV infection and also the skin under the foreskin becomes less sensitive and is less likely to bleed reducing risk of infection following circumcision. I think this is a great idea, especially considering it's an external organ and a procedure like this is basically a snip here and a snip there. Right up there on the list is the use of the male birth control pill, although personally why go with a pill when you can shoot an needle in their ass and call it a day (or year for that matter). Call me a little to sarcastic, but seriously.....be a "man" and walk it off.

“unavoidable punishment”

It seems some people in Ukraine haven’t been paying their utility bills on time, and the heating company needed an ad campaign to make them cough up the money. Who could make these deadbeats sit up and pay attention? The utility hit upon the idea of using Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, to warn customers to pay or face “unavoidable punishment.” I’m not making any of this up. Yes, they chose the man many historians say engineered the 1932-1933 famine in Ukraine, during which up to 10 million people died. The ad campaign has now been pulled...funny how things work eh? whoooo ha hahahhhaaa...(insert evil laugh)

rabbis say cannabis is non-kosher for Passover, it is apparently kosher during the rest of the year (?)

Marijuana is not kosher for Passover, a pro-cannabis advocacy group says, advising Jews who observe the week-long holiday's special dietary laws to take a break from smoking the weed. The Green Leaf Party, which has made several unsuccessful attempts to win election to parliament on a platform urging marijuana's legalisation, said it was issuing its advisory as a service to Jews who don't want to break ritual law.
"Logic dictates that if the rabbis say cannabis is non-kosher for Passover, it is apparently kosher during the rest of the year..."

Yelling patriotic slogans around earth sculptures...anyone?

Check this out, I wonder if other countries/cultures get down like the Chinease do?About 3000 Chinese people joined in, yelling patriotic slogans around faces sculpted in the earth, in a performance art event in Zhengzhou.
Personally I would prefer to hang with the folks who are currently playing a life-sized Monopoly game on the streets of London.

Sleeping Beauty

I wish I was still sleeping.........zzzzz

Lime Cat Strikes Again

Lime Cat strikes again with his impenetrable helmet of rind.

Kitties

Zombie Suit

I stepped out the door and the morning unfolded itself as a steel grey blanket of drizzle and fog, the dead brown grass showing small signs of green, life slowly manifesting again from its winter hideaway. Although my mind is foggy from winters' sedation, my zombie existence falls to the wayside, like an old suite put away for the season. Mmmmm..zombies
